FinMobility, as part of the Network for Sustainable Mobility (NSM), has submitted a response to the European Commission’s consultation on the revision of CO₂ standards for new passenger cars and vans. The network promotes a climate-neutral transport system by supporting all emission-reducing technologies in a cost-effective and competitive way.
The revision offers an opportunity to reassess emission reduction pathways. NSM highlights the need for a technology-neutral framework, where electrification, renewable and low-carbon fuels, hydrogen, and vehicle innovations are all recognised and allowed to contribute equally to climate goals.
