On 4 February 2026, FinMobility responded to the European Commission’s consultation on enhancing EU-level regulation, initiative called Better Regulation.
The statement brings together the key views and development needs of Finland’s road transport, mobility and logistics sectors. It emphasises the need to simplify regulation and eliminate overlaps in order to create a clearer and more efficient operating environment. The response also highlights the importance of experimental approaches and regulatory sandboxes in driving innovation.
FinMobility stresses the importance of technology‑ and mode‑neutral regulation, the use of digitalisation and real‑time data, and more flexible solutions for urban and peri‑urban transport and logistics. The statement also draws attention to the need to update labour market and liability frameworks. Overall, FinMobility calls for more predictable regulation and closer dialogue between authorities and the sector at EU level.
